Position Overview:
The Training Manager will collaborate closely with the Training Director and the Training Development Working Group to design, develop, and conduct comprehensive training programs for electricians. This role requires a hands-on, experienced training manager with strong instructional skills and a passion for workforce development through training.
Qualification Requirement:
A Master Electrician license is preferred but not a disqualifying factor. (Instructors for our developing Registered Electrical Apprentice Training Program must be Master Electricians)
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team with the Training Director and Training Development Working Group to develop and maintain a structured electrician training curriculum aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and create training aids leveraging resources from the in-house prefabrication department to support hands-on learning. Assist in the development and management of instructors from within the company to expand training capabilities. Design, set up, and maintain training areas and classrooms, including managing AV equipment and training materials to ensure effective delivery. Deliver engaging, effective classroom and hands-on training sessions for apprentices and journeymen. Apply the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) instructional design model to develop, improve, and evaluate training programs. Utilize training management tools to organize and track training files and revolving training requirements efficiently. Develop training materials using PowerPoint and design platforms such as Canva, CapCut, or similar software. Support assessment of trainee progress and adapt training methods to meet diverse learning needs. Coordinate with field supervisors and management to ensure training supports operational goals. Maintain a customer-focused, “make it happen” attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Maintain training documentation, records, and compliance with apprenticeship program requirements. Stay current with industry codes, safety standards, and best practices to ensure training relevance.
Qualifications:
Licensed Master Electrician preferred; Journeyman Electrician with strong training experience considered. Proven experience developing and delivering training programs, preferably for electricians. Proficiency with training management systems and organizational tools. Skilled in creating training content and visual aids using PowerPoint, Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms. Experience in curriculum development and creating hands-on training aids. Familiarity with the ADDIE training development model or similar instructional design methodologies. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer focus and proactive, results-driven mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple training projects. Proficient in both classroom instruction and practical, hands-on training environments.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
