Exempt Position Summary The Future Ready Director leads the charge in preparing teens for life beyond high school—whether that’s college, career, military, trade school, or something entirely their own. This dynamic and forward-thinking leader is responsible for designing and delivering programs in workforce readiness, education, life skills, and college and career exploration—with one critical mission: make sure every member graduates and has a plan for the future. This role builds and nurtures strategic partnerships with schools, employers, training programs, and colleges to open doors and expand opportunities for teens. The Future Ready Director also manages the Youth Empowerment Opportunity (YEO) program and will supervise Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) in relevant areas once participation reaches target levels. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in education, workforce development, counseling, youth development, a related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience working with teens in education, career services, or nonprofit settings Strong understanding of youth development and post-secondary access pathways Creative thinker with the ability to make structured programs engaging and fun Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills Experience with program development, data tracking, and community partnerships Passion for empowering youth and helping them understand their potential Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed Valid driver’s license and ability to meet BGCS driving requirements Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Development Design and deliver innovative, engaging programs in career exploration, life skills, financial literacy, academic success, college prep, and workplace readiness Make practical learning—like resume building, interviewing, budgeting, and time management—accessible and fun for teens Ensure all participating members develop a personalized post-high school plan, updated annually Infuse creativity and fun into workshops and experiences that might otherwise feel intimidating or inaccessible Career Counseling & Member Support Provide individualized career and college counseling to support member goals Connect members with job shadowing, internship, scholarship, and training opportunities Help members identify strengths, interests, and skills to make informed decisions about their future Create a safe, encouraging space where members feel supported and motivated to succeed Partnership & Outreach Build and sustain strong partnerships with high schools, employers, workforce agencies, colleges, and trade programs Represent the organization in workforce-related coalitions and events Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, campus visits, and job site tours to expand teen exposure to post-secondary options YEO Program & Staff Supervision Manage all aspects of the Youth Empowerment Opportunity (YEO) program, including member enrollment, scheduling, compliance, and reporting Supervise Youth Development Professionals in future-readiness content areas if enrollment goals are met Monitor program outcomes, track participation data, and evaluate impact Data & Evaluation Maintain accurate records of members participation, program progress, and future readiness goals Track key metrics such as high school graduation, FAFSA completion, scholarship applications, and employment placements Prepare reports and success stories for internal and external stakeholders Other Duties as Assigned The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed but are not to be seen as a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel. Occasional travel to and work at the Admin Office or other Club locations as needed. Standard office hours with flexibility required for special events Work Environment Work occurs primarily in a clean, non-smoking, climate-controlled office, with occasional travel to other Club locations. May include outdoor exposure to weather conditions. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasional evenings and weekends required for special events.
