Position Highlights
- Conduct new hire orientation program adhering to state and federal regulations and policies and procedures.
- Facilitate mandatory in-service training programs as required by state and federal laws and policies and procedures.
- Research and develop lesson plans for orientation and in-service programs.
- Hold annually the required continuing education programs for non-clinical staff, RN, LPN and LNA staff
- Develop training according to adult learning principles which includes delivery of training through a wide variety of mediums, such as lecture, videos, guest speakers, role playing, games, etc.
- Identify through direct observation and staff feedback the training needs for staff. Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a practical/vocational nurse training program.
- Demonstrated experience in direct care (long term care preferred).
- Must have supervisory experience
- Experience in adult education and training as well have experience in Point Click Care is preferred.
- Must be flexible in work hours to meet the training needs for all shifts.
