Experience credit to wagerange Department Details The Clinical Learning & DevelopmentSpecialist serves as a staff development coordinator/clinicaleducator in long-term care settings. The work is diverse,meaningful and provides an opportunity to directly impact caredelivery through education and training. In addition to serving asa clinical educator, the individual in this position will serve asa CNA Program instructor conducting skills labs and clinicalexperiences. The team is dynamic, innovative and supportive with astrong sense of collaboration and service delivery. No holidays ordirect care shifts required. One year long-term care experiencepreferred.

- One year long-term care experience ispreferred Job Summary Responsible for assessing, planning,coordinating, teaching, and/or evaluating education and trainingprograms within designated assigned areas/locations while providingleadership and coordination for nursing and inter-professionalinitiatives and projects.
Serve as a member of the LeadershipEducation and Development (LEAD) team, part of a centralizededucation model. Collaborate with leaders, clinical staff andSanford operations to identify strategies to educate, mentor andcoach staff to enhance their professional development and abilityto perform at the top of their scope of practice. Assess, plan,coordinate, teach and/or evaluate nursing education and trainingwithin assigned area/location(s). Develop alternative methodologiesfor education based on adult learning principles. Lead andcoordinate nursing education at the bedside to supportevidence-based practice, nursing initiatives and achieve excellencein nursing and quality outcomes. Assist with skills validations andongoing competencies. Qualifications Graduate from a nationallyaccredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to,Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), AccreditationCommission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League forNursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. A minimum of one year ofhands-on clinical experience required based on licensure.
Demonstrated involvement in clinical process improvementinitiatives or education activities preferred. Compact (NLC) state.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specificcompetencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) forhealth care providers within the first 60 days employment.
