Summer Youth Development Professional Boys and Girls Club of Montevallo Montevallo, AL 35115
Shift:
Open Monday-Friday, from 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Summer semester begins June 2nd and ends August 1st, but some training/familiarization will be required before; 2 Full time positions available from 7:30am-2:30pm; 5 part time positions available from 2pm-6pm, Monday-Friday.
Duties:
You will be in charge of a group of 15-20 children that can range in age from 6-17 years old. Oversee the safety and behavior of club members, ensuring that they listen and follow the rules; Ensure disciplinary action is taken according to Boys and Girls Club guidelines when necessary; Communicate and coordinate with other counselors while following a set schedule; Help encourage club members to participate in programs and activates; Be a role model for club members to look up to for guidance and encouragement; Help organize and run programs and activities for club members to enjoy; Help to provide club members with a fun, safe, positive environment; Clean spills and messes, as well as club areas when needed; Have fun; Experience/Skill s: Childcare experience is preferred, especially if in a professional setting
