Position:

EHR Training & Implementation Specialist Coastal Health is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable EHR Training & Implementation Specialist to support our growing team. This role will work closely with the Director of Health Information Technology and Physician Group Services to ensure the successful implementation, training, and ongoing support of our EHR and Practice Management (PM) systems. Key Responsibilities Core Duties Provide one-on-one provider training Deliver end-user support and training Support compliance with healthcare regulations Evaluate training effectiveness and address inefficiencies Align training curriculum with organizational goals Training Responsibilities Train staff on a variety of systems including Windows OS, Citrix, Microsoft Office, Athena EHR Deliver personalized EHR training for clinicians Identify workflow inefficiencies and create EHR/PM-based solutions Provide training to support IT security policy compliance Develop and distribute training materials and documentation Help create and implement training programs for new hires Evaluate training compliance and effectiveness Systems Maintenance & Implementation Assist with new EHR/PM system implementations Support software upgrades and perform testing Troubleshoot and resolve software issues Customize and maintain software within EHR, PM, and Document Management systems Coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and resolutions Reporting & Data Management Assist with administrative data reporting as needed Create and test reports for internal and administrative use Identify and correct errors in reports Special Projects Manage and participate in team and independent projects Help define project scope, goals, and timelines Qualifications Education & Experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare environment Understanding of health IT trends, healthcare reform, HITECH, and HIPAA requirements EHR/IT certifications (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire) Technical Skills Strong understanding of EHR systems (experience with implementation or upgrades a plus) Familiarity with Athena Clinical and financial reporting experience preferred Professional Skills Clear and effective communication (verbal, written, email) Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities Detail-oriented and capable of enforcing new policies Able to work independently and collaboratively Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively If you’re passionate about healthcare technology and want to make an impact in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you!
