Training, USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT Position Summary:

The Training Specialist provides comprehensive training management support for approximately 500 personnel across USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT and subordinate commands. This role ensures efficient coordination of military training programs, compliance with DoD requirements, and optimization of training readiness.

Essential Functions:

Serve as Command Training Coordinator, acting as a liaison to

to support annual training program planning and execution. Consolidate and gain approval for

USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT

staff participation in SOUTHCOM-funded courses. Serve as Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) administrator, coordinating mission-essential training tasks with the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) program manager. Provide Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) Training Coordinator support, maintaining JKO profiles and assisting subordinate commands with JKO-related matters. Ensure personnel complete 10 Theater Entry Requirements in accordance with the Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) to maintain deployable readiness. Oversee General Military Training (GMT) and Navy e-learning programs, tracking training status for 200 personnel and submitting weekly reports to command leadership. Manage Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS) and Total Workforce Management System (TWMS) training administration. Coordinate USAID/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) training events, managing 2-4 events annually. Organize training spaces, securing locations such as Afloat Training Group Mayport (ATG-M) auditorium and NAVSTA Mayport HQ (Bldg. 1) meeting rooms. Act as an Operational Planning Team (OPT) member for training-related exercises and operations. Develop and implement command exercise Mission Essential Task List (METL) training objectives, integrating them into JTIMS. Provide training management support for 300 personnel assigned to lower echelon commands and reserve units. Ensure compliance with DoD, Navy, and command training requirements, completing all 12 mandatory DoD training programs. Support Maritime Operations Center (MOC) activities, including information operations planning for exercises and real-world events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in training delivery and facilitation, specifically for military personnel, civilians, and foreign national military. Minimum 3 years of component-level exercise planning experience. Minimum 2 years supporting a Maritime Operations Center (MOC) directly.

Special Qualifications:
JQO, MSOC, JPME I, JPME

II, AJPME, or MOPC. Extensive experience with JKO, FLTMPS, JTIMS, JTT, TWMS, CeTARS, and Navy eLearning. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to develop high-quality training guidance. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint. Superior management and organizational abilities, ensuring training coordination and readiness. TS/SCI security clearance required. Why Choose
