As an Certified backflow specialist, you will be responsible for testing backflow prevention systems, identifying potential contamination sources, maintaining records, ensuring compliance and following company, state and manufacturer policies and standards. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outside and has previous experience, licensed and have great communication skills and outstanding customer care. Responsibilities Investigates customer water usage and performs water use surveys, cross connection testing, and dye testing operations to identify the requirement for backflow prevention assemblies and cross connection controls. Inspects backflow assembly installation ensuring they meet applicable plumbing codes and rules. Monitors and investigates the maintenance and replacement requirements of backflow prevention assemblies through customer service visits and annual inspections. Conducts meetings and site surveys with contractors, consultants, developers, owners, and staff to resolve potential cross-connection issues. Creates and maintains customer information files including equipment and inspection data. Reads, reviews, and interprets construction plans, blue prints, as-built drawings, and block maps. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and public relations with various agencies, owners, and the consultant community. Performs other duties as assigned Develops rapport and builds relationships with existing and potential customers Qualifications High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous landscaping or irrigation experience desired Previous sales experience desired Strong written and verbal communication skills A positive attitude and ability to be persistent Great customer service
