Job Summary The Marieb College of Health & Human Services invites applications for a part-time OPS Simulation IPE Operations and Technology Technician. This essential team member supports the day-to-day logistical and technical operations of our Interprofessional Education (IPE) Simulation Center and contributes to the advancement of emergency technologies within clinical education. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare, strong audiovisual and IT skills, and experience in technology-enhanced learning environments. We seek a collaborative, detailed-oriented individual who is committed to enhancing the educational experience through simulation and innovation. This position is part-time (up to 30 hours/week), with a 12 month appointment. The primary work location is the Marieb College, with occasional support at remote locations.

Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Audiovisual & Technology Operations:

Operate and troubleshoot AV systems, including projectors, microphones, and video capture tools. Work with Adobe Premiere, audio recording, and image editing software. Operate Dr. Hologram and Proto imaging systems for educational delivery. Provide imaging and technical support, including photography and software knowledge. Support and train users on Anatomage tables and visualization tools. Maintain and perform routine updates on all IT and AV assets. Work with AR/VR/Virtual Reality Technology. Support 3-D imaging and Maker Space Concepts.

Simulation & Clinical Lab Support:

Prepare, set up, operate, and store simulators, task trainers, and medical equipment. Execute simulation sessions with faculty IPE objectives and student outcomes. Apply and remove moulage/special effects for clinical realism. Assist in preparing lab and simulation environments to represent real-world healthcare settings. Assist in Eagle Expo events and support IPE Faculty in Simulation and Emerging Technology Needs. Support Syndaver Needs and Trainer Equipment.

Educational Support:

Provide pre-briefings and technical orientation for learners, faculty, and guests. Assist with instructional media and equipment during learning sessions. Support learners in simulation scenarios and operate simulation software such as Elevate, LLEAP, and Gaumard. Train on Anatomage, Dr. Hologram, and 3-D Imaging.

Research, Documentation, & Evaluation:

Maintain operational records, equipment logs, and media archives. Assist in compiling data for research, publication, and instructional materials. Support evaluation and quality improvement initiatives within the simulation center. Detailed oriented in getting Canvas and Signed Documents aligned for SSIH, INSACL, IPEC, and other accredited program entities for IPE. Operational Duties Maintain inventory, supplies, and consumables in compliance with safety regulations. Ensure simulation and preparation areas are clean, organized, and operational. Provide courteous and professional communication with students, faculty, and guests. A Day in the

A typical day involves setting up simulation scenarios, managing audiovisual and simulation equipment, supporting faculty with educational technology, and assisting learners in hands-on simulation environments. From recording holographic content to managing the latest technology tools, the OPS Simulation IPE Operations and Technology Technician is integral to the delivery of a seamless and immersive learning experience.

Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher. Background in healthcare (e.g., Paramedic, EMT, RN, RT, MSN, or related roles). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AV and IT equipment. Familiarity with simulation platforms (e.g., Laerdal LLEAP, Gaumard, Elevate). Ability to lift, move, and operate lab equipment (up to 50 lbs). Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. Must be outgoing marketing the program curriculum for IPE. Detail oriented with fundamentals in equipment. Ability to obtain CHSOS or CHSE within 3 years of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field. Experience in simulation-based learning environments. Familiarity with physiological monitoring and emerging clinical technologies. Experience in education or instructional support in a healthcare setting.

Working Conditions:

Simulation and lab environments may require standing for long periods and handling complex equipment. May include occasional early morning or late afternoon, weekend sessions based on IPE schedules.
