JOB GOAL
To provide training to both ITS staff and end-users in technologies specific to Saint Lucie County School District.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience. 2. A certification in Microsoft, Cisco networks or computer systems preferred. 3. Minimum of two years’ experience in the management and maintenance of microcomputer systems, and/or operating systems or verified technical certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional or higher. 4. Experience training or instructing others to use technology. 5. Competence in basic hardware and software troubleshooting. 6. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and desktop operating systems such as MS Windows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
To provide systems and application specific training to ITS technical staff. 2. To assist with ongoing staff development for school staff focusing on technology as a tool, integration of technology across disciplines and computer assisted instruction. 3. To provide application specific training to end-users for applications supported by ITS. 4. To oversee and coordinate all training activities for ITS personnel. 5. To ensure all training activities are properly recorded and administered within the Professional Development procedures established for the district and state. 6. To attend off site training in order to develop similar training for Saint Lucie Staff. 7. To perform all assigned duties in a timely and professional manner with a high standard of quality. 8. To perform other technology related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMAND CLASS
Sedentary Light (SL) – Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 10 pounds or less. Infrequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 11-20 pounds. Occasional walking and/or standing may be required.
