Job Description

Assist Resource Developer with the following duties:

Locate funding opportunities for existing and new operationsSecure funding to fully offset resource development expenses, including staff payCreate avenues for long-term organizational financial stability and diverse ongoing revenue streamsEvaluate feasibility and workload of revenue application and administration versus positive impact on the organization and communityProvide suggestions to the CEO for prioritization of applications accordinglyLead meetings with staff of affected departments to discuss needs, gather information, and educate regarding the process.

Gather information from credible sources to produce robust applications with a broad scope of supporting information/documentationCommunicate with the CEO from the beginning to end of process for approval of which revenue sources to pursue, general application content, and any changes from original discussionsUpon award, inform the Controller of any restrictions on fund use including, but not limited to programmatic, line-item, departmental, geographic area, etc.

Upon award, link the Department and staff that will be administering the grant to both mandatory and optional training, key program personnel, and program manuals.

Possibly administer awarded fundsWork with Controller to research the necessary compliance, rules, regulations, laws, etc. for soliciting, accepting, and spending donationsOnce this phase is complete, communicate with the CEO to receive the vision and efforts of our organization that we will present to donors; Understand that we may use different focal points for each donor, fundraising effort, etc.

After this is established, build relationships with potential donors and coordinate with the CEO regarding who we approach

Also:

Attend training for applications and general program knowledgeReview the Resource Developers work for completeness and to ensureall requirements are met, especially in terms of ensuring competitive funding applications.

Other duties and actions as assigned by ManagementThis is a temporary, contractual position with full time potential.
