Job:
Responsible for the presentation of Level I Infrared Thermography training courses. Qualified instructors may also teach Level II Advanced Infrared Thermography, specialty courses (buildings, mechanical or electrical), NDT Level I and II, or Electric Motor Testing courses. Duties and responsibilities 100% travel, primarily within the United States with the possibility of global travel as needed and desired to train at public locations and customer on-site facilities Effectively and dynamically deliver training material using an instructor-led methodology Prepare and set-up classroom: seating, charts, job-aids, trainee manuals, handouts, A-V equipment Conduct operational checks on equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning, facility lay-out Effectively interact with training class participants and respond to participant questions Accurately take attendance, efficiently distribute and collect evaluation forms, and administer general course exams and certification exams Communicate training and logistical needs and issues with appropriate administrative staff Make own travel arrangements for all training engagements; coordinate own lodging for on-site courses (reservations for public courses made by admin. staff) Provide input and feedback on training curriculum to Director of Curriculum Development and participate in Train-the-Trainer programs Within the realm of training responsibilities, build, manage, maintain, strengthen, and broaden relationships with new and existing customers Inform sales and new product/service development staff of potential up-sell opportunities and new product/service ideas in a timely manner Utilize non-travel/non-training days productively on assigned technical projects to support other Snell Team members in achieving his/her functional goals & objectives (e.g., webinars, IR tips, newsletter contributions, conference papers/articles, etc.) Provide post-course support to students when they request it Submit expense reports in a timely fashion to Accounting staff to facilitate customer billing (on-sites) and cost analysis of products and services (e.g., training) Qualifications Present program content using job-specific analogies, examples and a variety of presentation techniques Consistently achieve high ratings as a trainer Successfully achieve training (classroom) objectives and assist trainees with achieving program performance objectives Show personal interest in each trainee by greeting each by name as he/she enters the classroom and identifying each trainee’s major job concern as it relates to the subject matter and utilize it in variety of ways during the course (tie the curriculum to trainees’ needs) Professionally represent The Snell Group Maintain the highest level of responsiveness and service to all Snell Group trainees, prospects, customers, and allies Effectively collaborate with all members of the Snell Group Team Proactively maintain and develop technical industry knowledge related to equipment, applications, competitors, etc. Proactively identify training opportunities for (own) professional development related to instructor/technical role Perform other duties as assigned U.S. Persons”
