Clinic Support Trainer Shift:
Days- Full time
Responsibilities :
This position is under the direction of Clinic Support Administration. The incumbent will assist in the clarification and development of process improvements and inquiries, train clinic support staff and clinic clerks to ensure all person’s training have full knowledge of covered material. This position is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities to meet the educational needs of all employees. The incumbent will draft, create and upkeep training manuals. This position will require training employees navigation of cerner: patient demographics, how to make encounters, patient accounts, insurance eligibility, problem-solving and so on. The incumbent will verify all employees are following regulatory requirements in order to resolve edits or exceptions detected during system processing. Employees will sign off on initial competency evaluations for every employee after training has been completed. As well as assisting in the re-training/annual evaluation of established employees. Individuals will follow established guidelines for the use and/or disclosure of PHI, follow and comply with all HIPAA rules, policies and procedures and any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement :
3 years billing or coding experience
Education:
HS Diploma required, some college preferred
Experience :
Experience as a seasoned Medical Biller, Coder, or Patient Access Representative Advance knowledge of all insurance payers and payer billing requirements Knowledge of medical terminology Type 45 wpm Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions Advanced computer skills (Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel & Word) Excellent organizational skills Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently Ability to complete tasks within a given timeframe Productive and goal-oriented Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve account errors within a reasonable amount of time Ability to function effectively as a team member and respond to changes in work processes, leadership and systems in a constructive manner
