None Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for forward facing and behind the scenes donor recruitment, relations, donor database maintenance, event planning, community outreach, and marketing materials creation. This role will support all planning and implementing of development activities. Initially, most of the time will be working in the office. Will be responsible for regular face to face meetings (one to two times weekly). Weekly Meetings with the Development Team is required. , as well as phone and email contact as needed throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
Support CDO duties and responsibilities Cultivate and retain donors to support our non-profit mission Communicating with donors in person, on the phone, and via email Become an expert on our donor management database, Little Green Light (training available) Create reports, analyze data to support giving and impact of mission (MS excel experience is required) Support FeedNC event planning and facilitation Support the creation of mission centered marketing and fundraising materials Mission centered data analysis of donors and program impact to create impactful stories and information Foster new mission aligned partnerships with businesses, civic orgs, and churches Represent FeedNC at local and community meetings and events. This item is a very significant part of the role and requires a flexible schedule on the evenings and weekends. Generate strategies for sustainable revenue generation / meet and exceed budget goals Help create a sponsorship package for events where applicable. Using creativity to evaluate and improve the agency’s development plan
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree and experience in field of fundraising/development with non- profit organizations or Sales/Marketing experience Previous experience with Little Green Light or other donor databases preferred. Will consider those without experience that have advanced computer skills Proficient in MS excel, word, publisher Knowledge of and ability to use technology to increase online giving and social media campaigns Independent worker that is internally motivated Familiarity with creating mission focused marketing materials Deadline and detail-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills with staff, volunteers, and donors Excellent writing skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to artfully bring our mission to life through all forms of communication Ability to recruit new donors and retain current donors via written and verbal communication Team player that is excited about potential growth of agency and program expansion Experience with face to face community outreach with businesses, churches, and service organizations. (Basic duties that apply to all employees) Abides by and practices by the FeedNC Operations Manual and Employee Handbook Understands and practices guest and donor confidentiality Performs other duties as requested by management that the employee can perform Must be able to successfully pass a 7 year criminal background check and have a clear national
Motor Vehicle Report Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Two years of experience in non-profit fundraising development with a nonprofit organization or equivalent experience in sales/marketing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; including Microsoft Excel, Word and Publisher.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately. Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
Skills:
Skill in operating office equipment. Skill in organizational matters, including time management, prioritization, multitasking, and problem-solving. Skill in communicating effectively Skill in providing attention to detail and documentation. Skill in both oral and written communication. Skill in computer applications. Skill in using customer service skills when dealing with donors, volunteers, and community members
Abilities:
Ability to type 40 words per minute. Ability to use other computer programs including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Office, and donor database. Ability to work with and lean new systems that are implemented. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to multitask effectively, dealing with phone calls, guests, volunteers and others pleasantly. Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, volunteers, other staff, and the public. Ability to understand and comply with policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:
Involves frequent contact with staff, donors, and volunteers. Flexibility in work schedule as necessary to meet agency needs. Occasional (minimal) local travel and after-hours and weekend events. Will need to attend agency development and marketing events.

$16.50 – $18.69 per hour
