- Siemens Energy Field Service is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with the desire to become an Industrial/Field Service Technical Trainer in our dynamic team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of our organization’s technical knowledge. The Siemens Energy Technical Trainer will have the chance to work with field engineers from around the world to give them the knowledge and know-how to maintain and repair Siemens Energy power generation equipment.
- How You’ll Make an Impact
- + Design, development, and delivery of employee technical training focusing on Siemens Energy and legacy large frame turbine generator equipment.
+ Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed. + Identify training needs by observing workers and conducting skill assessments. + Collaborate with managers and other trainers to ensure training programs align with company goals and objectives. Additional collaboration with external entities such as universities, trade schools, etc. to develop curriculum. + Maintain current knowledge of industry developments and advancements. + This position may require approximately 15% travel for the purpose of delivering training or gathering information at different sites for the development of future training. Primary work location will be a Siemens Energy Hub (Orlando, PSC, Deer Park, Charlotte).
- What You Bring
- + Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
5+ years field experience of power plant turbines and generators. + Ability to design and deliver engaging and interactive training programs. Confidence to comfortably speak in front of large groups of peers. + Strong organizational and project management skills! + Formal certifications in training and education is a plus! + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
