04/22/2025 Description The Specialist for Planning and Training collaborates with the SBC Director to plan and develop the training calendar, ensuring it meets the entrepreneurial needs of the community. The ideal candidate will be a positive, adaptable, and goal-driven strategic thinker who can take initiative, build strong relationships, and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the role. The Specialist for Planning and Training supports the SBC Director by greeting visitors, recruiting and recommending instructors, and serving as a main contact for seminar and workshop attendees. They assist with special projects for the economic development team and handle classroom setup, breakdown, and preparation of materials.

Standard working hours:
Monday:

8:00 a.m.•1:00 p.m.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:

8:00 a.m.•3:00 p.m.

Friday:

12:00 p.m.•5:00 p.m.

Hourly rate:

$15.00 per hour
Start date: May 26, 2025
Closing date: May 11, 2025, or open until filled. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and Microsoft Office proficiency required. Must be able to successfully demonstrate skills in typing, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Associates Degree or higher in Business Administration or Business Management preferred. Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes. The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
