Description of Work We are looking for candidates who have a passion for helping at-risk youth.
We are Working Together to Strengthen North Carolina’s Youth and Families! This position is located at Rockingham Youth Development Center in Reidsville (Rockingham County), NC. This position provides administrative, human resources & fiscal support to the Facility Director. Maintains a filing system that includes employee personnel files, timesheets, and monthly reports. Serves as the facility Time Administrator, Workers’ Comp/FMLA Administrator. Processes HR actions such as pay actions, LOA requests, and separations. Serves as the point of contact for workers’ compensation claims including completing and submitting claims to the Worker Compensation’s third party administrator and ensures that incidents are documented on the OSHA log/summary. Composes written correspondences, answers telephones, takes and delivers messages, and processes incoming and outgoing mail and parcel packages and deliveries. Performs miscellaneous administrative duties assigned by the Director and Business Officer and serves as the back up for the reception desk as the initial point of contact for all visitors and staff. Serves as the back up to the facility Business Officer with duties that include: motor fleet management of on-site vehicles, processing invoices, entering and receiving E-procurement requisitions, obtaining e-quotes for goods and services, monitors updates in NCAS, and assists with p-card purchase reconciliations.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. Work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. We offer great Benefits!

KSAs:

Working knowledge of common office practices and procedures. Experience multi-tasking while responding to questions and inquiries and using diplomacy when greeting the public and communicating via telephone. Experience managing an office schedule and coordinating a variety of appointments, meetings and conferences. Experience organizing office responsibilities using time management and prioritization skills. Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Management Preference:

These skills are not required but managers may choose to interview/select applicants who demonstrate Management Preferences. Candidates should currently possess a notary public certification or have the ability to obtain a notary certification within 90 days of employment.
