At NAMI WC, we’re on a mission to improve the lives of people affected by mental illness through advocacy, education, support, and awareness . Development Professional (Contract-Based)

Wake County, NC Schedule:

Part-time (20 hours/week)

Compensation:

$40-$50/hour (based on experience)

Duration:

120 days (with potential to extend) Your Impact We need a dynamic, contract-based Development Pro to help us connect with current and future donors who are just waiting to support our mission. You’ll be working closely with our Executive Director and plugging into a team that truly cares.

Brings successful nonprofit fundraising experience to the table Is mission-driven and ready to make an impact Can fly solo, stay organized, and develop action plans Is upbeat, personable , and persistent (you don’t take “no” personally!) Communicates with empathy and connects deeply with others Knows how to tell a good story—and listens even better Can connect the dots and opportunities that could benefit all Embodies the values of NAMI WC in both words and actions

What You’ll Be Doing:

Building curated donor lists (we’ll help with tools and support) Scheduling and holding meetings with potential donors Finding common ground and crafting compelling reasons to give Assisting with events and sponsorship outreach Tracking donor engagement and follow-up efforts Using all the great NAMI WC resources at your fingertips
