Training Department Manager Position Summary The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that support the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model. This role includes leading staff orientations, managing the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS), and providing ongoing training for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The trainer ensures staff readiness, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective use of clinical and operational tools. Key Responsibilities Develop and facilitate comprehensive orientation sessions for new hires, covering the agency’s mission, CCBHC model, policies, clinical procedures, and compliance standards. Coordinate with QA, IT, and HR to maintain up-to-date and accurate onboarding materials. Conduct post-orientation assessments to confirm knowledge retention and competency. Serve as the primary administrator for the agency’s
LMS:
upload, organize, and maintain training materials and course content. Monitor staff training compliance; generate reports and follow up on outstanding requirements. Provide technical support and guidance for LMS navigation and usage. Design and deliver initial and ongoing EHR training for both clinical and administrative staff. Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure training reflects current workflows and software updates. Collaborate with HR to ensure all annual HR related trainings are 100% completed Troubleshoot EHR-related issues and develop supporting materials such as user guides and FAQs. Conduct training needs assessments to identify learning gaps across departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and propose enhancements. Ensure all training programs meet CCBHC certification standards, NYS Office of Mental Health requirements, and other applicable regulations. Maintain accurate training records for internal audits and external reviews.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in a training, clinical education, or staff development role Demonstrated experience designing and delivering adult learning programs, including virtual and in-person training sessions Familiarity with instructional design principles and training evaluation methods Proficiency with EHR systems and LMS platforms (e.g., Relias, CPI, CareLogic, eCW) Strong knowledge of the CCBHC model and behavioral health service delivery Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills Ability to engage learners, manage group dynamics, and adapt training to various learning styles
Preferred:
Master’s degree or professional certification in training, adult education, or health informatics Prior experience working in a CCBHC or behavioral health setting Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) are a plus

SALARY RANGE
$70,000- $80,000 Full time (Based on experience and licensure/certification.)
