Educational Technology Liaison Job
Posted on June 13, 2025 The Watson Institute is hiring a full-time Education Technology Liaison to support the WISCA, Education Center Sewickley, and Education Center South programs. This position will work Monday through Friday. The Educational Technology Liaison will lead and support education technology initiatives across our organization. This role will focus on leveraging educational technology platforms, researching and evaluating new education-related technology solutions, and assisting with some IT-related endeavors where appropriate. Additionally, the liaison will support staff and students in integrating technology into learning environments while collaborating with the IT department to ensure seamless implementation. This position may also involve working with assistive technologies, depending on program needs, in collaboration with therapists and other specialists. Job Responsibilities:

Educational Technology Integration
Oversee and support education-related technology projects that enhance instructional practices
Collaborate with educators and therapists to optimize the use of technology in learning environments and student engagement
Develop training materials and conduct workshops for staff on educational technology best practices
Platform Optimization and Support
Assess and maximize the use of existing educational technology platforms
Troubleshoot educational technology issues and guide best practices
Work with departments to align technology use with instructional and operational goals
Create documentation and resources for staff utilization
Research and Evaluation
Stay updated on emerging trends in educational and assistive technology
Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for technology-enhanced learning
Provide recommendations and implementation plans for new educational technology adoption
Collaboration with IT and Contract Management
Assist with technology contract renewals, focusing on educational technology tools
Serve as liaison between educational technology users and the IT department to ensure compatibility and support
Maintain accurate records of technology contracts and licensing agreements

Physical Technology Support:

Provide hands-on support and training for educational tools such as Glow Forge, Cricut, 3D printers, and assistive technology as needed
Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of physical technology resources used in education
Assist staff and students in effectively utilizing these tools for learning and project-based activities

Collaboration and Communication:

Serve as a bridge between educational staff and IT to align instructional and technological goals
Communicate technology updates, training opportunities, and best practices to staff
Work closely with leadership to align educational technology initiatives with the organization’s mission
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field (if working with students directly, a degree in education may be required)
Experience in educational technology integration and project management
Proficiency with educational and physical technology platforms such as Glow Forge, Cricut, 3D printers, and possibly assistive technology
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and AI-based educational tools
Experience working in special education or autism-focused environments
Certification in instructional technology or assistive technology
Pre-employment medical examination, including tuberculosis test, required
Current Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances required
