Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to apply for the Part-Time/Temporary Student Services Generalist position located at our Oconee Campus. Under the general supervision of the Oconee Campus Director, in partnership with the Student Engagement Coordinator, the Student Services Generalist will serve as first point of contact and deliver engaging front line customer service to students and visitors. They will provide administrative and logistical support for the front desk, main office, and campus team. They will support wrap around service delivery for Student Development programming and Accessibility Resource Center accommodations. The successful candidate will be dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our students and possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the campus community. Accordingly, the position requires an enthusiastic personality combined with a skilled, student-centered approach to problem-solving. Successful candidates must be able to effectively multi-task while communicating and handling detailed processes and procedures with a positive and supportive attitude.

Job Duties:

Deliver front-line customer service to prospective and current students, visitors, and colleagues through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, emails or other written requests
Be familiar with general college information and academic programs, including corporate and community education
Maintain a working knowledge of processes for student enrollment and student development services to facilitate referrals as needed. Talk with students to determine what their needs are to then appropriately refer. Maintain confidential records and reports.
Assist with the Ready Experience student focused programs and campus activities, with accommodative testing as needed, other campus events as needed.
Provide support for internal and external groups or visitors on campus
Provide administrative support as needed for the Oconee campus office team, and for the Student Engagement Coordinator
The Student Services Generalist role is a part-time/temporary employment opportunity that is not eligible for health or leave benefits. The successful candidate would work up to a maximum of 25 hours per week and will be required to take a 15-day break in service each calendar year. Additional Comments About Us
