Job Duties:

Assume role of functional leader plant organization training, responsible for strategically developing training landscape for Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence, tailoring initiatives to meet customer requirements & enhancing organizational performance through targeted interventions. Conducts training sessions to ensure hands-on learning & immediate applicability to daily tasks, while also overseeing resource allocation & Train-the-Trainer activities. Provides personalized coaching & mentoring to foster lean & continuous improvement mindset & personal trainee development. Facilitates cultural change & transformational processes, while evaluating training outcomes & staying updated on innovative training approaches, developments & trends. Leads strategic development of organizational training landscape for Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence considering future requirements of business & individuals’ current skills to identify & address gaps. Develops organizational skills & knowledge to ensure availability when needed. Leads development of trainings, including overseeing initial concept design &/or subsequent updates, aligning with stakeholders to tailor initiatives to meet customer requirements & target groups, with aim to enhance organizational performance through targeted training interventions. Conducts training sessions by planning, preparing, organizing, leading &/or supervising, & post-processing workshops & sessions for employees at various levels to impart Lean principles, methods & tools, to ensure training is hands-on & content immediately applicable in daily work environment & that it entails ensuring all essential requirements & resources are in place, such as defining target group, internal/outsourced setup, specifying trainer qualifications, determining timing, duration, location, & budget. Consider Train-the-Trainer activities to prepare trainers involved in upcoming sessions, if required. Collaborates with company’s central Lean Academy to develop & implement standardized, in-house training programs in Lean Manufacturing. Conducts Lean trainings at plant, & if needed corporate, level, with corresponding certification process for corporate Lean Career Path, encompassing roles such as Kaizen Driver, CI Manager & Lean Consultant. Directly facilitates workshops in operations. Ensures alignment of training progress, results & performance evaluations of participants & conducts feedback discussions with trainees. Provides personalized coaching & mentoring sessions for executives & teams to facilitate implementation of Lean principles & application of Lean methods, fostering continuous improvement & cultivating lean leadership mindset. As subject matter expert, delivers continuous support & guidance to employees as they implement Lean principles, methods & tools in day-to-day work. Deploys Lean Consultant, Trainer & Coach roles per respective training/Lean activity requirements. As Lean Consultant, this includes execution of projects with aim of maintaining connection to operational practice & training duties. Facilitates cultural change- & transformational processes in organization by promoting establishment of Lean culture through training initiatives, awareness campaigns & promoting behavioral changes across all levels. Prepares reports & presentations, & conducts follow-up evaluations to document training outcomes, progress & business benefits for management, stakeholders. Assesses long-term impact of training initiatives on organizational performance & employee development. Stays updated on new training methods & techniques through research & collaboration with internal MPS Academy & external training providers (e.g., suppliers, universities, institutes, congresses etc.). Conducts internal & external benchmarks to discover best practices in Mercedes-Benz, automotive & related industries, to enhance training performance & foster innovation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Eight (8) years of relevant work experience evidencing the demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties. Use knowledge of and experience within an automotive production environment applying lean manufacturing principles and/or MPS methodologies or external industry equivalents such as

TOS, TPS

methodologies etc., effectively utilizing various project management, analysis, and communication tools and techniques, training Lean Manufacturing tools for various target groups, demonstrating the ability to complete the entire training cycle, including needs analysis, planning, development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation, and developing, conducting, and debriefing training concepts, as well as accompanying organizational transformation processes in relation to Lean Manufacturing, and with Microsoft Word (including Advanced Formatting, References & Citations, Track Changes & Collaboration, Mail Merge, Macros & Automation); Microsoft Excel (including Advanced Formulas & Functions, Data Analysis Tools, Visualization & Charting, Macros, Visual Basic for Applications, Data Management & Validation); Microsoft Power Point (including Advanced Animations & Transitions, Master Slides &Templates, Multimedia Integration, Design & Layout, Collaboration & Review, Custom Presentations & Sections); & Thinkcell (including Automated Chart Creation, Gantt Charts, Mekko (Marimekko) Charts, Waterfall Charts, Data Labels & Customization, Agenda Management, Chart-to-Slide Linking, Excel Integration, Smart Layout, Custom Chart Types etc.) In lieu of the eight (8) years of work experience, will accept Bachelors’ degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Logistics plus six (6) years of work experience, MBV will also accept Associates’ degree plus eight (8) years of relevant work experience Lean Consultant certification or equivalent external credentials and Lean Trainer Certification by the MPS Academy or an external Lean Training Organization. New hires subject to drug test/background check. 40 hours per week with scheduled on-call rotations for after hours, weekend, and holiday support.
