Full Job Description Description:
The Simulator Trainer is responsible for facilitating training programs using advanced simulation equipment to prepare candidates for real-world operational tasks. This role involves operating CM Labs heavy equipment simulators and Trimble GPS simulators, scheduling training sessions, and documenting candidate progress to ensure effective skill development and performance tracking.
Requirements:
Responsibilities Operate CM Labs Equipment Simulators Set up, calibrate, and operate CM Labs heavy equipment simulators to deliver realistic training scenarios for heavy equipment operation. Guide candidates through simulation exercises, providing instruction and feedback to enhance their skills. Troubleshoot simulator issues and perform basic maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Operate Trimble GPS Simulator:
Configure and run Trimble GPS simulators to train candidates on precision navigation and GPS-guided equipment operations. Instruct candidates on interpreting GPS data and applying it to operational tasks. Ensure simulator settings align with training objectives and real-world applications. Schedule Candidates for
Training:
Coordinate with candidates and their supervisors to create and manage training schedules. Ensure efficient use of simulator resources and accommodate varying candidate availability. Communicate schedules clearly and handle rescheduling or adjustments as needed.
Document Candidate Progress:
Track and record candidate performance, including skill development, simulation results, and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date training logs and reports in compliance with organizational standards. Provide progress updates to supervisors and candidates to support continuous improvement. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment or familiarity with CM Labs and Trimble GPS simulators. Strong organizational and communication skills to manage schedules and provide clear instructions; Bilingual – English and Spanish preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications for documentation and scheduling. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and adapt to varying training needs. Work Environment Primarily indoor work in a training facility with extended periods operating simulators. May require occasional lifting or setup of equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Flexible schedule, potentially including evenings or weekends based on training demands.
