Position Summary:

Assists the Corporate Trainer in coordinating and presenting specialized training in a variety of functional IT topics, such as corporate-level Microsoft [MS] software platforms: Office, Teams, One Drive, as well as additional platforms for financial management and customer service. Responsible for the effective presentation of training for all levels of associates.

Essential Functions :

Focuses on supporting and providing specified training programs for company-wide computer software programs as determined by a needs analysis and in consultation with management. Analyzing human performance gaps, operational performance gaps related to general IT and systems software usage. Ability to implement training that is engaging and effectively targets learning outcomes. May be asked to design, develop, implement and evaluate training using instructional design standards and competencies. Coordinates with the Corporate Trainer and department management to schedule training. Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies. Uses teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works. Tests trainees to measure learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods. Manages and maintains the Training Management System including maintaining training rosters, entering attendance and running related reports, etc. Develops strong relationships with internal customers to receive feedback. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Works effectively as a team member with other members of department staff and management. Regular attendance is required. Job performance must conform to all CWS policies and procedures. Specific knowledge of CWS Environmental Management System Policy and Procedures. Additional Duties Performs other related duties assigned. Job Requirements Physical Requirements, Activities, and Working Conditions Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally to include comprehension of complex oral and written instruction. Frequent sedentary work with extended sitting required. Occasionally positions self to exert up to 20 lbs. of force to lift and transport objects. Objects greater than 50 lbs. require a two-person operation. Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as but not limited to a telephone, calculator, fax, copier and calculator. Ability to operate and maintain a motor vehicle. Must be able to wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to perform the required essential functions. Education and/or Experience Completed coursework in education, training, or other related area with at least two years of experience in a professional environment, preferred. Knowledgeable in a variety of training development methods and delivery techniques. Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of written and verbal communications skills, personal computer and related software applications to write reports, business correspondences, such as MS Office or similar. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions from written, oral or schedule forms and solve problems. Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Must demonstrate personal reliability; able to plan, organize and accomplish work. Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness Licenses, Certifications, Registrations Valid South Carolina Driver’s License Required. MS Certifications or similar are preferred.

Training Needs:

OSHA and departmental safety training as required. Skills-based training. Standard Operating Instruction (SOI) per department requirements.
