Technical Training Coordinator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 40 East Park Drive, Fayetteville, TN 37334 Join a high-performing team that is revolutionizing the wire and cable industry! Copperweld is seeking an experienced Technical Training Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training and education programs for both internal team members and external stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in promoting safety, quality, and operational excellence by designing strategic learning initiatives across all Copperweld production facilities. The successful candidate will focus on technical and manufacturing training, procedural education, safety standards, and product application and installation. Based primarily in Fayetteville, TN, this role will serve as a key partner to operations, quality, and leadership teams across Copperweld’s production sites. WHAT we need you to do.
Curriculum Development:
Design, develop, and deliver effective training materials, courses, and curriculum in various formats (in-person, video, digital, and written).
Training Needs Assessment:
Collaborate with operational leaders to assess and prioritize training needs across the organization.
Employee Onboarding:
Conduct hands-on onboarding for new hires with emphasis on safety, operational processes, and equipment functionality.
Qualification & Recertification:
Lead the qualification of production employees according to defined procedures; maintain a recurring training schedule to ensure continued compliance.
Coaching & Mentorship:
Provide individualized coaching and mentoring to production staff to enhance skills and reduce errors.
Customer Education:
Coordinate and lead facility tours, product education sessions, and customer engagement activities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify skill gaps and implement solutions.
Process Documentation:
Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and job aids to support consistent training.
Compliance & Safety:
Promote adherence to safety protocols and quality standards through proactive training strategies.
Tracking & Reporting:
Maintain accurate training records and provide regular reporting on employee development and training effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends and best practices; recommend and implement improvements to training processes and content.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Education, or a related field preferred. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience and/or education will be considered.
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical training, organizational development, or learning & development roles. Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Proven ability to lead projects within tight timelines. Experience in curriculum design , content creation, and technical documentation. Effective public speaking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and engage employees at all levels.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) . Proficiency in videography , training video production , and Adobe Premiere (preferred). WHY Copperweld?
