JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that includes preventative and responsive services while fostering academic, career, and social-emotional development.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Guidance and Counseling, School Counseling, or related field OR Master’s degree from an accredited institution with a major in counseling other than school counseling that includes a minimum of 600 clock hours of supervised internship with school-aged children and their families with at least 9 semester hours of graduate credit as defined in Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-4.0181 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Guidance and Counseling or School Counseling PK-12 Click here for Job Description. This position may require you to teach an additional period beyond your base contract. Should this occur, you will receive additional compensation at the effective negotiated rate in addition to your base salary for instructing this additional period. This additional amount will be paid as a supplement and will be disbursed in equal payments based on the District’s established payroll calendar for this position. This amount is considered part of your salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.•
