The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This position involves working closely with students, parents, and teachers to create a positive learning environment and address any challenges that may arise. The School Counselor will provide guidance on personal issues, assist with behavior management, and facilitate standardized testing processes. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address academic, social, and emotional concerns. Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies for behavior management within the classroom. Educate students on mental health awareness and coping strategies. Assist in the development of 504s for students with special education needs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
