The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic development. The School Counselor will work closely with students, parents, and staff to create a nurturing environment that promotes positive growth and well-being. This position requires a strong understanding of behavior management strategies and experience working with children in various capacities. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. Develop and implement behavior management plans tailored to individual student requirements. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support students with diverse needs. Conduct assessments to identify student challenges and recommend appropriate interventions. Organize workshops and seminars on topics such as conflict resolution, stress management, and study skills. Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress. Participate in the development of school-wide programs that promote a positive school culture. Serve as a resource for teachers regarding classroom management techniques and strategies. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences: Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings (e.g., camp counselor, babysitting). Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support students effectively. Familiarity with special education practices is preferred. Experience in sports coaching or theater can be beneficial for engaging students creatively. Background in Christian counseling is a plus for fostering a supportive environment aligned with our values.
