School Counselor Qualifications:

School Certification as a Counselor in the state of Florida Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

School Counselor Include:

Identifying and assessing students in need of trauma support Conducting trauma-informed therapy and counseling interventions for at-risk students in individual, group, or family settings Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data Providing case management and direct intervention to students and families experiencing trauma, including those from low-income households, those who are homeless or in foster care, and students involved in the criminal justice system or experiencing mental illness or substance abuse disorder.
