Job Summary Promotes social-emotional learning, family involvement, and community partnerships while offering counseling services as needed. Works to counteract summer learning loss, impacting underserved students’ long-term success. Engages with students from rising Kindergarten to rising 9th grade. Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Delivers lessons that foster cognitive development 2. Assists teachers with both academic and behavioral support 3. Oversees and supervises activities and events 4. Provides students and families with resources on social-emotional learning and development. 5. Collaborates with the Site Director and Assistant Site Director, when needed, to recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring they achieve organizational, personal, and professional objectives 6. Supports staff and students in resolving conflicts and fostering positive relationships 7. Maintains effective communication with leadership and key stakeholders at the host site and school(s) 8. Plans and contributes to professional development sessions in preparation for the summer program Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling and/or Guidance or related field. Other Required Qualifications Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia teaching or counseling certificate Current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license Required Experience Experience teaching in a school setting Experience in designing curriculum for kindergarten through ninth-grade students, emphasizing a child-centered, supportive, and risk-free learning environment.
