Mission:
Sacred Heart School in Kingston, MA is a private, Catholic, co-educational learning community for two years old through Grade 8. The School Adjustment Counselor will play a vital role in fostering the social, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual well-being of our students within the framework of our Catholic mission. This position involves providing direct support to students, collaborating with staff and families, and implementing programs that provide student success and development.
Key responsibilities:
Help students work through social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Consult with teaches and parents to support student needs and enhance effectiveness in helping students.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Develop individualized safety plans when necessary.
Develop and implement social-emotional learning activities and lessons for students.
Refer students and families to appropriate community resources.
Participate in school-wide initiatives and promote a positive school climate.
Maintain accurate records and adhere to all relevant ethical and legal guidelines.
