School Counselor Long-Term Sub 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 1062 Pleasant St, Athol, MA 01331 Long Term Sub for Unit A School Counselor Position from August through November (approximately 60 days, with the possibility of 5 additional days before school year for a total of 65 days)DESE school counselor licensure or licensed social worker.
Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions (classroom lessons, individualand small group counseling) per special education requirements, 504 plansor demonstrated need based on data, with a focus on skills building.
Plan, organize, and deliver a comprehensive school counseling program inclassrooms, small groups, and individually. These lessons will addressacademic and social/emotional domains to ensure all studentsparticipate during all aspects of the school day .Consult and collaborate with other school personnel in establishing supportfor students in need and in understanding the physical, social, emotional,and psychological factors that strengthen or detract from a studentsacademic achievement.
Support the implementation of restorative and relationship centeredlearning practices, including but not limited to student to studentmediations, student to staff mediations, and community building circles.
Provide classroom push in support as requested by staff or administratorsthat supports the implementation of a high expectations learningenvironment.
Support students in selecting courses/pathways that align with their goals.
Ensure that all students have complete schedules.
Conduct risk assessments with students, consult with communityemergency services providers, and refer students for evaluation as needed.
Communicate regularly with and work collaboratively with families ofstudents receiving services.
Consult and coordinate with community service providers whenappropriate.
