QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree from a community college; two years of work at a senior college, or passing score on the ACT Work Keys Test
- Satisfactory completion of school district’s pre-employment test requirements
- Ability and desire to work well with young children
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to provide support for students at-risk (bottom quartile, Tier 3, EL) and in need of academic and behavior support

JOB SUMMARY
- The basic function of this position is to provide research-based academic interventions to students identified in need of academic support. The Interventionist Assistant is responsible for implementing and supporting the interventions by documenting and progress monitoring of academic interventions in compliance with established federal/state/district procedures and timelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assumes responsibility for the entrance, accuracy, and monitoring of MTSS data related students measured in the following: bottom quartile, Tier 3, EL, and, including but not limited to ensuring data accurately that reflects appropriate action relative to district timelines for MTSS and teacher referrals
- Monitors and evaluates student academic progress at specific intervals (outlined in the
HCSD MTSS
Handbook) to ensure appropriate academic interventions are in place
- Develop and support academic interventions, instructional resources, error analysis, data interpretation and analysis
- Works with a team to help identify the best practices for individual students and groups of students
- Provide input regarding the development and implementation of an intervention plan
- Supports the design and implementation of quality-differentiated instruction
- Supports the design, development, and implementation of the progress monitoring tool for academic interventions
- Collects and disseminates current data on each student identified as at-risk for academic intervention
- Supports with intervention documentation
- Communicates effectively and collaboratively with CIA Coordinators, building administrators, teachers, and students, regarding the prescribed efforts to meet the needs of at-risk students throughout the intervention process
- Attends building and district meetings to promote awareness, communication, and collaboration regarding the process to meet the needs of at-risk students as requested
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned
- Assists in the fostering and promotion of a positive school/office climate
- Maintains a professional demeanor during all interactions between colleagues, students and administration. #
