Job Description
MS Guidance Counselor 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars Franklinville, NJ Delsea Regional School District MS Guidance Counselor Delsea Middle School is seeking a full time guidance counselor for the 2025-2026 school year. Delsea Middle School has an enrollment of approximately 500 seventh and eighth grade students.
Qualifications:
Valid NJ Educational Services Certificate and School Counselor Endorsement or eligibility Minimum experience as determined by the board Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff and community groups/organizations Previous school counselor experience preferred Required criminal history check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status Current residency in NJ, approved residence waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one calendar year of employment
Performance Responsibilities:
Focus on Social and Emotional learning Transitions
- from elementary to MS and MS to HS Assistance with scheduling and development of the master schedule Member of the Climate Team HIB committee I&RS collaboration 504 management Technology
- programs associated with guidance position State testing Budgeting Individual and group guidance techniques Career education Encouraging attendance in school Academic counseling Student records and transfers Course selection Accept new students into the district Help to organize summer school work Confidentiality Being part of the team
- CST, administration, guidance, SAC Performs other duties within the scope of his/her employment and certification as may be assigned by the principal or designee.
Salary:
Based upon negotiated DEA guide
Employment Period:
10 months (some summer work is required)
