Job Description
The East Rochester School District is recruiting a probationary, tenure-track Elementary School Counselor.
The Elementary school serves 400 students in a culturally responsive setting tailored to meet the needs of all students.
Promote Academic and Social-Emotional Learning
Provide Tier 1 instruction, interventions, and counseling K-5
Support on-demand, initial intake, and counseling needs
Support student and family case management
Help students realize their potential and make progress
Chair 504 Meetings
Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members.
Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning
Support students in crises and provide appropriate interventions.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being.
Conduct assessments and develop action plans for students who require additional support and guidance.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions
- Additional salary for contractual summer workdays

Job Qualifications
NYS School Counselor Certification
Prior Elementary School experience preferred, but not necessary
