Job Description
In-School Suspension Monitor 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars New Holland, PA 17557 STS seeking an In-School Suspension Monitor for Garden Spot High School. This position is responsible for supervising and providing academic support for all students that are administratively assigned to in-school suspension. This may include coverage for students assigned to restricted lunch and after-school detention. This position may also provide classroom support to students who are a part of Garden Spot Spartan Academy.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain professionalism at all times during interactions with students, staff, and administration.
- Provide a highly structured and orderly environment for secondary students to serve their in-school suspension or restricted lunch assignments.
- Monitors classwork (both paper and online content) and maintains necessary contact with the regular education teachers to update assignments and lessons.
- Tutors, guides, and monitors students in order to continue their academic progress.
- Monitors student lunches and arranges for lunches to be provided to students who qualify to receive free or reduced lunches in the in-school suspension room.
- Conferences with students prior to re-entry to regular academic settings.
- Maintains accurate and current rosters of assigned students.
- Reports status of assigned students to all administrators on a daily basis.
- Initiates regular contact with building administrators to advise them on individual behavioral and academic issues.
- Must practice in accordance with the Substitute Teacher Service, Inc.
Para Services Handbook policies, and school district policies.
Hours:
7:20 AM – 2:35 PM, Following the student calendar
Qualifications and Required Documents:
Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray within 3 months
- Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of transcripts/diploma acceptable) Additional required STS documents will be provided during on boarding process
