For more than 50 years, Central Alabama Wellness has served the community through a wide array of services, including therapy, psychiatry, case management, residential services, and other community-based services. The organization’s services are certified through the Alabama Department of Health. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or alternatively, two years’ experience working as an IPS-SEP team member. Experience providing employment services, and knowledge of the work world are preferred. Ability to work as an effective team player is essential. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record and automobile insurance. Must maintain liability coverage on personal vehicle(s). Primary Job Functions and Performance Expectations Adheres to Central Alabama Wellness Policies and Procedures in a consistent manner.

Overall Function:

Provides oversight to the IPS Supported Employment Program. Ensures satisfactory program outcomes by providing training, supervision, and by working side-by-side with the employment specialist (field mentoring). Completes all referral intakes, monitors outcomes, and implements quality improvement plans. Acts as a liaison to other departments and agencies (Vocational Rehabilitation, ADMH). Supervises Employment Specialist, IPS Peer Support Specialist, and IPS Benefits Specialist.

Responsibilities:

a. Hires, trains, and evaluates Employment Specialists. Develops expectations for specialists regarding employer contacts, number of Mile Stones completed each quarter, and employment rate (percentage of individuals employed on each caseload); b. Assigns each employment specialist to one or two mental health teams. Attends each mental health treatment team monthly to enhance integrated services; c. Conducts weekly group supervision following the principles of IPS supported employment; d. Provides individual supervision for Employment Specialists. Supervision includes some office-based sessions, as well working side-by-side with specialists. Provides frequent (weekly or biweekly) field mentoring for specialists who are new to their jobs, and those with outcomes that are less than desired; e. Collects consumer outcomes on a monthly basis. Shares outcomes for the program, as well as individual practitioners, with IPS supported employment team each quarter. Helps team members set goals for improvement. Reviews individual outcomes with each practitioner and develops written plans for improvement. Helps specialists refine their skills so they can improve outcomes; f. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills; good budgeting skills; g. Demonstrates computer proficiency – use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as web-based database and other applications as required; h. Acts as a liaison to other department coordinators and administrators at the agency. Communicates regularly with mental health supervisors to ensure that services are integrated, to resolve issues, and to act as a proponent for employment; i. Works with the office of Vocational Rehabilitation to coordinate services. Requests monthly meetings between Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and IPS team members to discuss how to help people served by both agencies; j. Arranges for IPS supported employment fidelity reviews. Assists with the development of fidelity action plans based on recommendations from the fidelity report; k. Leads Steering Committee meetings to help with IPS supported employment implementation and sustainability; l. Evaluates the consumer for discharge planning Record keeping a. Maintains confidential files containing required information for each supported employment client; Maintains documentation for those individuals receiving services; b. Provides timely documentation that meets requirements of various funding sources including Vocational Rehabilitation, Medicaid, and others. Supervises a team of up to ten individuals Completes all CAW required trainings as assigned.

Salary:

$40,000 – $46,000 depending on experience. Compensation & Benefits The range for this role is competitive based on experience. Final offers will be contingent on a background check.
