General Statement:
The Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Specialist will collaborate with staff, students, and families to promote appropriate school behaviors and a positive school climate, develop social and emotional learning competencies, and help students meet with school success. The MTSS Specialist will coordinate and support intervention planning and data collection through the use of behavioral, attendance, restorative and other intervention practices. In addition, the MTSS Specialist will collaborate with and attend meetings and professional development opportunities provided by the Central Office. Major Responsibilities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Qualifications Note:
Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
