Responsibilities
Coordinate the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services to ensure timely and appropriate services are provided
Plan for Bereavement Program development, expansion and refinement through annual evaluation of services
Provide bereavement support to hospice personnel coping with work-related grief
Provide bereavement information and referral services to callers from themunity
Participate in interdisciplinary group meetings
Ensurepliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent theological degree or Master’s degree in Social Work with qualifications of experience clinical grief counseling
Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling individuals and/or groups in loss
Experience with death and dying
Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
