The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workforce development and a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves working closely with clients to help them achieve their employment goals through effective training, mentoring, and support. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ skills, interests, and barriers to employment. Develop and implement tailored training programs that enhance clients’ employability skills. Facilitate job readiness workshops focusing on interviewing techniques, resume writing, and workplace etiquette. Collaborate with local employers to identify job openings suitable for clients and promote inclusive hiring practices. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to clients throughout the job search process and after placement. Stay informed about employment labor laws and advocate for clients’ rights in the workplace. Maintain accurate records of client progress and employment outcomes for reporting purposes. Work collaboratively with social workers, addiction counselors, and other professionals to provide holistic support to clients. Qualification Strong skills in training development and workforce development methodologies. Proficiency in interviewing techniques and recruiting practices. Excellent mentoring abilities with a focus on empowering individuals towards independence. Knowledge of employment labor laws relevant to individuals with disabilities is a plus. Familiarity with addiction counseling principles is beneficial but not required.
