Job Description
Description Position Summary We are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Working from your home office in Florida, the Intervention Specialist will serve as a teacher for students receiving RTI (Response to Intervention) support. This position focuses on providing targeted academic instruction and intervention to students who are at risk of failing courses, as well as those who have already failed. Additionally, the Intervention Specialist will collaborate closely with the MTSS Lead to identify students in need of support and to develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies. Key responsibilities include teaching RTI students in individual or small group settings, analyzing student data, and providing professional development and coaching to teachers involved in the intervention process.
Responsibilities:
The Intervention Specialist will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks: + Provide direct instruction and academic intervention to RTI students in individual or small group settings + Identify at-risk students based on grades and assessment scores below proficiency level + Administer state standardized tests + Maintain and update records, including attendance, discipline, communication logs, RTI documentation, meeting minutes, grade retention records, and transcripts + Review gradebooks and student performance data + Administer district assessments + Develop and train teachers on individual intervention strategies to improve student outcomes, including retention, grade advancement, and performance on future assessments + Create and lead professional development opportunities for staff + Assign and monitor Supplemental Instructional Support Programs (SISPs) + Implement a comprehensive Response to Intervention (RtI) program + Collaborate with students to develop individual achievement plans tailored to their academic goals + Provide training and support to parents of students identified as at risk of grade failure + Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
+ Must be highly qualified and certified to teach in Florida + MUST reside in Florida + Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite) + Ability to analyze, develop, implement, and monitor effective intervention strategies + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Strong time management and organizational abilities + Customer-focused mindset + High degree of flexibility and adaptability + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, virtual work environment + Demonstrated experience as a collaborative team player + Willingness to travel as needed (may include occasional overnight travel) + Ability to work remotely + Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
