JOB SUMMARY
Provides assistance to the assigned neighborhood community in the coordination of resident skills, community resources, and implement activities within the neighborhood to stabilize and rebuild the neighborhood.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Assist in the coordination of outreach activities taking place within the assigned neighborhood. 2. Assist with community resources for employment counseling, job readiness, and skills training to residents in the assigned neighborhood. 3. Maintain case management tracking of clients, events and activities for the community center. 4. Develop and maintain effective working partnerships with other community based organizations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
1. Ability to learn and use customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services. 2. Knowledge of administrative and clerical terminology and procedures as well as Microsoft Office package. 3. Ability to interact in a positive, professional manner with clients and coworkers. 4. Ability to proform physical tasks including, but not limited to, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, stooping, and general agility. 5. Availability to work a varied schedule, nights and weekends occasionally. 6. Ability to pass a Level II background screen.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Two to four years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training. 2. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred. 3. A degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
