Join Our Team at Tallahassee State College Pre-Release Employment Navigator Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a full-time grant-funded opening for the position of Pre-Release Employment Navigator- P09257 with DOC – Walton Correctional Institution . What You’ll Do As a Pre-Release Employment Navigator , you will report to the lead educator or Assistant Warden and play a key role in delivering services through cell-front and/or congregate settings.
The services provided shall include:
Provides in-person and virtual facilitation of workshops and training relative to employability and life skills. Provides administration and interpretation of assessments. Maintains and provides documentation of services delivered. Facilitates pre-release connections with community providers and employers through face-to-face and technology-based interactions to include pre-release job search, recruitment, and placement activities. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.
Our ideal candidate will have:
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field. Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry. Preference given to candidates with an associate’s degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
