Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. Summary The Bilingual Clinical Sample Specialist I is responsible for biospecimen management activities for samples arriving at the LabConnect Miami facility. The Specialist will perform tasks in support of receiving specimens for partner lab processing and testing, storage, and shipments to partner laboratories or other facilities. The Specialist will regularly collaborate with the Project Managers, internal LabConnect departments, courier companies, clinical investigator sites, sponsors, & laboratories with daily ongoing clinical trial study projects, requests, and specifications. Additional activities include maintenance of specimen storage equipment, monitoring accessioning and biorepository consumables, and the organization of departmental SharePoint documentation. This position will be located in Miami, FL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with & receive in-bound shipments from clinical sites (Latin America Region) Breakdown shipping containers and check in samples Accession samples in a LIMS Schedule samples for same-day testing/shipping Store samples in appropriate temperature conditions Remove samples from biorepository for shipment Create and manage outbound shipments Identify and manage sample discrepancies and query initiation Maintenance of freezers Exhibit understanding of protocols Stay current on SOPs relevant to job duties Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

Ability to read, write and fluently speak both English and Spanish required; Portuguese preferred. High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience in related laboratory experience or experience in the clinical trial industry and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must possess excellent organization, communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Working Location/Hours/Information:

Monday – Friday, with alternating Saturdays as needed. After training during standard business hours, shift is likely to be 10:00am – 6:30pm. Listed hours of work can be changed due to business needs. Overtime is common. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Will handle biological specimens and work with dry ice; must wear the provided, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Onsite at our Miami, FL location.
