College Application Coach On Point Tutoring 1390 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables, FL 33146 Established in 2012, On Point Tutoring has consistently provided customized, effective academic and test prep tutoring to over 3,000 students. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team. As an College Admissions Coach, you will receive training and support to successfully assist students with their college essays, scholarship applications, and college applications.

Month Award/Recognition Key Responsibilities:

Provide Mentorship:

Offer guidance to high school students on the college application process, leveraging your recent personal experience.

Support Application Preparation:

Assist students with creating college lists, drafting personal statements, completing applications, and preparing for interviews.

Attend Coach Development Workshops:

Attend group sessions on topics like essay writing, networking with admissions, and time management during the application process.

Encourage Career Exploration:

Help students identify career interests and align them with potential college majors.

Track Progress:

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback and actionable advice.

Promote Self-Advocacy:

Encourage students to take ownership of their application journey and build confidence in their abilities.

Requirements:

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with students and their families.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple students’ progress, deadlines, and goals.

Empathy and Patience:

A supportive and approachable attitude to mentor students with diverse backgrounds.

Tech Proficiency:

Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and application portals (e.g., Common App).
