05/13/2025 Immaculate Conception Catholic School and St. John the Apostle Catholic School, in Hialeah Florida, are hiring for the joint position of ESE Coordination & Student Support Person to work at both locations. This person will report to the principals and serve support the academic, social, and emotional success of students with exceptional needs by coordinating ESE services, collaborating with faculty and families, and providing individual student support. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
Essential Functions include:
Coordinate services for students with exceptionalities (e.g., ADHD, learning disabilities, autism).
Maintain and implement Individualized Lesson Plans (ILPs); collaborate with teachers to ensure the accommodations are effective.
Monitor academic and behavioral progress; adjust support as needed.
Identify students needing educational evaluations; guide families through the referral process.
Act as liaison with public/private agencies, including therapists, diagnosticians, and district ESE departments.
Provide faculty with training and resources on differentiation and inclusive practices.
Meet individually with students to address academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns.
Use sound judgment in responding to student crises, involving the principal when necessary.
Promote a safe, faith-based school environment rooted in Catholic values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, (preferably within the field) required.
Experience with drafting ILPs is preferred.
Familiarity with IDEA.
Experience in the classroom and using DI/Inclusive Practices.
Strong interpersonal skills
Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders (e.g. pastors, principals, teachers).
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent understanding of best practices in the field.
Strong oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Spanish-language proficiency preferred.
Strong aptitude in informational and educational technology.
General knowledge and understanding of rites and rituals of the Catholic Church; Practicing Catholic preferred.
