Summary As the Director of Career Services at Orlando Medical Institute, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students towards successful career paths in the healthcare field. This position is essential for fostering relationships with employers and ensuring our graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the workforce. Responsibilities Develop and implement career services programs that support student success and employment outcomes. Provide mentoring and academic advising to students regarding career options and job search strategies. Establish partnerships with local healthcare organizations for student internships and job placements. Conduct workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, and professional development. Utilize Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems to track student progress and employment data. Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum based on industry needs. Recruit employers for job fairs and networking events to connect students with potential employers. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience in career services or academic advising within an educational institution. Strong mentoring and communication skills to effectively guide students. Familiarity with Ellucian and PeopleSoft software systems is a plus. Experience in recruiting or working with healthcare organizations is highly desirable.
