The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employment labor laws and workforce development, and will be skilled in mentoring and educating clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves guiding clients through the job search process, enhancing their employability skills, and providing resources for personal and professional growth. Duties Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assess clients’ career goals and aspirations. Develop personalized action plans that align with clients’ skills, interests, and market opportunities. Provide guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Educate clients on employment labor laws and their rights in the workplace. Facilitate workshops on various topics including interviewing techniques, networking skills, and workplace etiquette. Collaborate with community organizations to connect clients with additional resources such as training programs or support services. Offer mentorship to clients facing challenges related to addiction or developmental disabilities. Monitor client progress and adjust coaching strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes. Skills Strong knowledge of employment labor law and workforce development principles. Experience in recruiting and interviewing processes. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. Proficiency in mentoring techniques that foster personal growth and professional development. Understanding of addiction counseling principles is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client cases simultaneously. Empathy and patience in working with diverse populations.
