Support Specialist for Individuals with Disabilities The Red Apple School, Inc. 6640 Kentucky Avenue, New Port Richey, FL 34653 Overview Are you tired of working Weekends and Holidays? This is a full time (40 hours) position, Monday through Friday. Looking for a caring individual to work with adults with varying disabilities in various types of meaningful educational activities according to each individual’s learning style. In addition, providing care with daily living skills such as feeding, dressing, toileting and support in the area of personal care as well as providing supervision to ensure the individual’s safety. Monitoring and documenting the individual’s progress towards their chosen goals.

Requirements:

Must have a High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or a transcript that reflects graduation from High School Must have a Florida Driver’s License and be a driver for at least 5 years also be able to drive a 15-passenger van and wheelchair bus. Employer conducts Local Background & Level II background screening Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job and include sitting or standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 40 pounds as needed, bending, crouching, stooping and must be able to move the entire length of a 15-passenger van. This role requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve through direct support and compassionate care.
