ARC of the Treasure Coast is seeking a compassionate and motivated Employment Consultant (Job Coach) for our Project SEARCH Adult program . In this vital role, you will empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals through one-on-one support, training, and advocacy. You’ll help clients discover their strengths, build job readiness skills, and connect with meaningful, sustainable employment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

✅ Conduct intake assessments to identify each client’s unique skills, needs, and career aspirations ✅ Develop individualized employment plans with clear, achievable objectives ✅ Provide training in job search techniques, resume writing, interviewing, and networking ✅ Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers; advocate for client placement ✅ Support clients on the job site with accommodations, coaching, and skill-building ✅ Offer ongoing encouragement and problem-solving throughout the employment journey

Qualifications:

✔ Minimum four (4) years of experience working or personal experience with individuals with disabilities required ✔ Experience with supported employment or vocational rehabilitation services preferred ✔ Strong knowledge of disability rights, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ✔ Ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record Ability to pass a Level II background screening

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, driving, and computer-based tasks.
